Tetley’s English Ale was first brewed in 1822 by its originator Joshua Tetley in the Leeds Brewery. Parts of the original buildings still stand and extensions have been built as late as 2006. The brewery produces around 185 million pints of Tetley’s every year.
As a major sponsor of all levels of rugby in the UK, Tetley’s Ale also appeals to the American rugby player and other athletic teams.
